The problem is they are on an island and Darcy has done NOTHING to help them. Miller faced something like 16 shots two minutes into the game. I don't ever remember seeing that in an NHL game.

Vanek is very talented but has ZERO help on his line. He's a skilled player and I will bet ANYONE that with a couple of decent line mates he will light it up !! You can see the frustration in his face when he get's himself into position and he line mates are getting knocked off the puck or making shitty passes or he set's them up and they whiff.

Both of them have shown a lot of class because I'm not sure I would have been able to hold my frustrations back as well as they have.

Agreed. They give the standard postgame interviews, but you know they've got to be fuming on the inside. Miller especially.

I guess that's why he didn't speak to the media after last night's game.

Boss, if they had fired Darcy during the off season, but were still this terrible, do you think the fans would be this upset, or do you think they'd have more of a "Darcy fucked up so bad we'll give this guy a couple years to fix it" attitude?

I think they would be more patient I know I would. He put this mess together and it will take a while to fix it but the fact that he is here trying to do the "fixing" is the biggest problem. JMO

That's my opinion as well, but I've got 600 miles between me and WNY, so I don't get the radio broadcasts and such.

I agree with Boss and I'm hearing the same stuff from Oilers fans as well, they want Lowe gone from the organization (even though he's not "officially" the GM, he has input into all personnel decisions). The fact that they brought MacT back just rings of "same old, same old".

So they have a lot of good dancers and only two can play hockey and they want out. If this were a Broadway show we would be in good shape but it's the NHL so we're fucked.
