Keepers Rule Help Needed

So I'm the commish of a keeper's league with my friends.

Its two keepers and we play you can't keep the same player more than once.

My friend is having the issue of having both Marshall and Jones (who were both drafted in the 2nd). He asked me what the rules are for how we can keep both and wants one to be counted as a 3rd round pick.

I told him I wasn't sure, but it'd be that he either could only keep one, OR, the 2nd player would count as a round higher (in this case a 1st).

How do you solve this problem in your league?

All 3 scenarios are all equally fair... But i would use the rule that the 2nd keeper is kept the round later...

The reason why, he had to get the second player via trade, reward the owner for a good trade...

I don't recall a case like that, but I'd round it depending on where he is drafting.

If it snakes: if he's drafting in the bottom half of the first and third, count it as a first-rounder; if he's in the top half of the first and third, count it as a third-rounder. Counting it as an early first-rounder is unfair to him, and counting it as a late third-rounder is unfair to everyone else.

so if its two seconds

one second, one third

due to the fact it had to be aquired by trade........

or if its late round guys they were most likely FA or waiver grabs......

In my league. He needs to trade for a second or he needs to bump higher. We always bump higher so he looses a 1 and a 2

we do a round lower in my keeper, just like steelers' league.

Yes - I agree that it should've been in place already but it currently isn't. I always thought you couldn't keep in general. I guess the league will have to decide.

your the commish, they cant make the rules, if you thought it was a re-draft league, its a re-draft league
