I had been watching Eric Young for a while in my home league. MIs come at such a premium in a 14 team league. He started at 2nd today (while batting leadoff). That is his second game played at second base. In our MBBRL, TREFF was way ahead of the curve grabbing him. (to go along with a couple other guys I wanted btw)
In leagues with looser eligibility rules, snatch him if you can. In my league he NOW QUALIFIES as a 2B, and since I have been running Uggla out there all year, it is nice to have a back up.
If he starts leading off everyday and playing second base, stealing bases, he could have superb value imho.

Do you think he will get to 10 starts at 2b (ESPN) this year? I have Phillips, Franklin but I would not mind having another speedster. Currently only have Gomez, McCutchen, Revere, Jones, Rollins, Franklin? with speed. also have Eaton on DL still. Could drop Brothers, Tim Hudson, Sonny Gray. Advice on a drop?

12 Team H2H Dynasty. 12 games a week for Starting pitchers count QS (not W)

Weiss has stated that Betancourt will get his closer spot when he returns ...this weekend I think.
I don't know whether Young gets 10 games at 2B, but he'll be a speedster no matter what. You don't have the MI need anyway. I'd grab him for Brothers and see what happens. If Young craps the bed, you've lose nothing. Give it 10 days?

Just be careful of his splits. Doesn't seem to hit righties very well.

He's been nothing but terrible, but Dustin Ackley has been playing OF in AAA. Probably doesn't help much, as he wouldn't be in anyone's OF, but in league's like one of mine, where you need multi-position eligibility players at Util, he might do in a pinch if/when he's called up.

I thought about Ackley as well, with the possible OF thing...went sniffin' around for Loney and Logan Morrison, and yep...both with TREFF.

Thought about Ackley too, but went with Jose Iglesias instead. I've seen Ackley flounder enough that I feel safer watching him on the wire than on my team. Could be a mistake, but it's not like I'm in dire need of a MI player (but I could be if Elvis doesn't remember how to hit).

Truth be told, I almost dropped Simmons for Bogaerts this morning. Couldn't quite do it, but time's slipping away for 2013.
