Troll the waiver wire till CJ returns. There have got to be guys out there like ODB, Holmes, or Randle.

I don't carry backup QB, TE, K, or Def. I ride or die with the waiver wire on bye weeks.

I have 2 backup QBs, and 1 backup TE lol

Allen just got dropped in my league do I pick up? My bench is

Romo, kaep, Pierre Thomas, McKinnon, delanie walker, spiller, Ryan Matthews, 49ers defense

I would pick him up. I did just that when he was dropped last week in MBBRL. It is hard for me to imagine that Rivers doesn't start throwing to him more consistently down the stretch.

He was dropped in MBBRL?? I must've been asleep at the wheel on that one. I don't value him highly at all, but a waiver pick up? Yea that's a chance I'd take

Not sure what to make of the Allen situation. I can understand Gates getting more looks but wouldnt have thought Royal and Floyd would be getting more action. Allen seems like the 5th option behind those three and whoever the healthy running back is.
Patterson I think will be better once Bridgewater gets his feet wet a little more. That whole offense is something I would try to avoid though.

Thoughts going forward/?

Going into the season I wasn't high on Allen as he had his run late and was inconsistent earlier. Patterson's value took a hit when Cassel got hurt. Bridgewater, like many rookie QBs, just doesn't know who to target.

Not really, Cord can't get open. The only way he has value is if the Vikings OC schemes him into space, which he has not been doing.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

SD spreads the ball around. But Gates has been (and probably will continue to be) the lead receiving option. So Allen will get sloppy seconds.

I agree with Shady. CP is young and can grow with Bridgewater. Plus I respect Norv Turner as an OC. Don't forget that Patterson was also nursing a hip injury right up to Sunday's game.
