The lineup has the potential to do a lot better than last year. Moose seemed kinda overhyped as a prospect, but I think the power numbers will improve. His defense should make him somewhat valuable. Escobar's bat will probably never really be an asset, but I don't think he's 53 OPS+ bad. Gordon's bat should rebound.

I think Perez will continue to see improvement in the power department this year. He was struggling to hit for power in the 1st half, slugging only .396 and 4 home runs in 299 PA. But in the 2nd, he batted .303/.335/.483 and hitting 9 HR in 227 PA. He also slugged .471 in 2012 (.170 ISO, which is slightly above average).

Also looking at the division. Cleveland wont be as good as they were last year, Tigers have a new manager. Things look good for KC.

This club is winning on its Bullpen, Offense, and Defense if it is making the playoffs. Stealing a crap ton of bases while doing those things too probably.

I do think the Tribe will regress, but I think they'll still be in the thick of things. I like their pitching staff a lot.

Gap between those three and the Twins/ChiSox is pretty big.

Personally, I think Hosmer will continue to progress with the bat. Not as sure with the glove.

based on what?? Losing one of the most inconsistent starters in the majors, other than that they have the same, more experienced team.

he had a 2.61 ERA from April 29 to Sept 29. also had the best ERA+ among Indians starters last year (unless you want to count Salazar's 10 starts).

but even then, I don't think the loss will hurt much. Masterson's a pretty good pitcher and Salazar and Kluber are sleepers. McAllister's solid and Marcum seems like a good candidate for a comeback year (assuming he's healthy).

Sorry Royals fans, but you got OD's endorsement. You're fucked.
