If you look at Kaepernick's body of work, his tape, his stats and subtract the name and reputation...then you'd have a totally different outlook on him

Statistically he's been solid to good

- Career 90.6 qb rating
- 50 tds to 21 ints
- Career 60 % completion percentage
- 1576 rushing yards and 10 tds past 3 seasons

On tape he looks like a raw third year (starting) quarterback still learning the game, but has a lot of potential because of his gifted abilities


I'm not a fan of Kaepernick and have openly criticized him before, but with the way people talk about him you would never guess his career high in ints is only 10. You'd think he was someone throwing 20 + ints each year.

I think he'd be a good fit with the Eagles system

Dude... Kaep IS NOT THAT BAD.... He came one pass away from winning a title a couple years back... He's also won playoff games multiple seasons... I"m not saying he's elite, but he certainly isn't a bad QB ...

I don't care either way, nor do I think he was even in the ball park for the contract he got way overpaid with.
I just can't believe they would turn right around and trade him this soon after investing 61 mil guaranteed, or that anyone else is gonna pick up that contract on a qb that is slightly above average in many people's estimation.

That's why he's not elite... BUT he has led his team to big playoff wins on the road, Atlanta in the NFC title game... On the road in Green Bay, On the road in Carolina .... Led his team to a Super Bowl one year and the NFC title game the next year.... He's done well overall ...
