I guess Danny has a sign and trade deal ready to go if the Celtics can trade Pierce. I always thought Smith and Rondo would play well together since they are good friends dating back to their Oak Hill days. If we can land Jordan somehow the future is looking a lot better.

i agree, and he'll miss the open looks he has more times than not. Then the next game he'll go off for 20+ points and be very productive. You'll love and hate him

That is true that Smith has never played with a PG like Rondo, but neither of these guys are exactly known for being consummate professionals. They are both pretty immature.

Now with Doc gone, and KG likely to follow, who will lead this team?

I think a Rondo, Smith, Green core would be very similar to what Atlanta was. They will win some games, but never be a real contender. If C's fans are content with being a perennial 1st round playoff exit type of team, then Josh Smith would make sense.
