Not sarcasm. Yes, Ledger played a great Joker. That's not what we're talking about.

The topic of this thread is Phoenix playing the Joker in what's reportedly going to be an origin-type story. I said Phoenix was good in Gladiator, can play a twisted bad guy well, and that playing the Joker would be a challenge. Were you responding to that?

While I probably shouldn't speak for him I think he was trying to imply that in that regard the Joker is another level up from where Commodus fits on the scale.

Probably going to get blasted for this comment... But isn't Joaquin a little unstable in the head? I'm not sayin this role was the exact cause of Heath's death, but IMO it was a huge push off that ledge. Kind of concerning to enable someone's already unstable mind to be even more unstable.

DC just just can’t get out of its own way. They are reportedly now developing TWO Joker movies. One with Phoenix that will be an origin story and one with Leto that will be part of the DCEU.

That is too confusing and will further cheapen their brand. Whomever is in charge of the DC IP needs to be shot. Seriously. They are destroying their product. PLEASE STOP!!!
