and just as an FYI, I cant stand the Aggies, or anything about them, including Manziel.

I just keep my emotions out of the loop when I'm considering football talent.

Maybe average arm strength. His arm is significantly above average, though.

Manziel is well below average.

It isnt a secret that I dont like Johnny. I want to agree with you, but Brees just doesnt have a cannon. He is a below average QB in physical talent, but one of the smartest QBs in the game. There is a reason he was traded.

He has slightly above average arm strength and well above average accuracy. Manziel is below average at both.

What I love about the people that think Pro Day workouts mean anything.......check out the RAVE REVIEWS that Garrett Gilbert got for his pro day.......that dude is a complete JOKE. But scouts will have you thinking he's the next Joe Montana, completing passes against air......

Fuck that! Surely Jerry isn't that stupid? :L

Amen. Just don't need the bullshit he would bring. As soon as he signs that big contract, the mouth will start up again. He's only on good behavior until he signs.

Personally, I think any NFL team that picks a player based on his pro day deserves to have every draft pick they make be busts for a decade.

The thing with Manziel's pro day was that it was fairly unique and appears to have involved more than him just completing passes against air. He used it as an opportunity to show some maturity and willingness to change his style to be a little more "NFL friendly".

I don't know if it will make one iota of difference as far as his future in the league, but it was pretty unique for a pro day. I'll bet we see more players copying it in the future.

many of his big plays were basically: freak out and buy time left, lob a duck to Evans

not too sure that's gonna play in the NFL

as others have said, he needs a solid O line

Johnny football being considered draft worthy at all is just proof Evans is the best receiver in the draft.

I was just listening to the radio and they are talking about a Mike Zimmer hating the workout. DJ at the event. He thought was basically Johnny craving the spotlight.

I personally could care less where he goes...I'm just glad of where he's not going to be.

Evans was a monster receiver, that's for sure. If he keeps his head on straight, he'll be really good in the NFL. Hell, if he if doesn't keep his head straight, he'll be good. Most receivers are prima donna head cases anyway.
