I like the idea as well. Travel does help put things in perspective, especially if you can get off the tourist path in an area and meet the locals not involved with the tourism trade. I like the idea of mission trips as well ... you can team build and help those in real need.

Yes, but it is doable. Find a mom and pop restaurant and order the house special and best house wine. You will get hooked up with places to see off of the beaten path.

Easily done with a couple. Not too many Mom and Pops can seat 20, let alone 120.

I would love to be able to travel to some of the cities of the former Soviet bloc countries. There are a couple of cities I would love to see because I know that we targeted them(mostly the rail yards).

I like the mission trip idea a lot better. A football team could build a school in the time they spent traipsing around Rome. Although I'm not sure today's Prima Donnas are up for that.
