Personally I don't think he did. He has every right to be pissed off and what happened and we can't say that if we were the coach we would not have reacted the same way!

Jim Boeheim of Syracuse Orange says he went too far at end of game vs. Duke Blue Devils - ESPN

"There's no question, I went too far," Boeheim told "The Herd" on ESPN Radio. "In my mind, the game was over. That was really the call that got to me.

"Would you rather not do that? Probably. But when you're in the middle of that moment and you're involved in a game like that and you feel that the game is gone because of this play, you lose control of your emotions."

Good of the Coach to own up. Personally, I think he DID go too far.

Yeah I am very glad he did own up to it and that shows a lot of class to do so. But I mean it was the heat of the moment and things got a little out of control. I think I would be as "hot headed" as he was during that moment.

I'm not sure where you're heading with that one, but duggie's cool. The guys forgotten more about College sports than I'll know in a lifetime.

Just that he is a good poster and he is more than willing to make bets like this because he has total confidence in the teams he supports. He is a good guy

OK...Group huggie. That said, JB is cool and JB did go a little overboard. That's how we got all those neat Photo-shops.

He was just standing up for his team. I don't blame him for getting excited and letting his emotions show through. If he just had sat broken on the sidelines and taken the loss then folks would be crying that he didn't care.

He went overboard....doesn't mean he is a bad guy and I agree, he was standing up for his team. I was hoping that his boys would respond to all that and go to Maryland and KA....did not happen as the "Cuse" built up a 12 point lead and let up on a team that very easily could have won....probably should have.

I criticized JB for not taking responsibility after the game for his actions... happy to see the statements he made here.

Looking at his career as a whole, JB is one of the classiest coaches of all time. Much respect.
