I really like Gibbons's game, hope he'll be a mainstay on the roster. He has been the best player on the farm so far.

Orpik has been abysmal today. Kane scores on the breakaway after the bad turnover by Orpik at the blue line.

The biggest issue was the start of that breakout. The puck was given to him with a guy in his face, I don't know why the hell it was passed to him there. That and the fourth liners looking horrible created a bad situation. Adams has been bad today as well.

Adams simply isn't that good anymore. He's lost a step defensively. With Sill in the lineup, Adams is redundant.

Yep...pretty much don't need more than one stone handed forward who kills penalties. He's been noticable the past 10 or so games, and for him that's bad.

With our current skaters available, I'd rather see Harry Z or Megna out there. They both have a lot more speed and better hands without giving up that much defensively.

And the fourth line needs Vitale. I know Bylsma likes him with Sutter, but Vitale is the only speed we have for a fourth liner, and he's a very good faceoff man. He's wasted on the wing.

I was just thinking that. In the beginning of the year I really didn't think Vitale was worth a roster spot over any other 4th liner but he truly fits the role well and he is their best faceoff man percentage wise.

Our issue today is simply TEAM defense, not just our Dmen. They've been abysmal, but the forwards have been pretty irresponsible in their own right.

Getting Bennet back would help. It'd be nice to get a guy like Wheeler, but I don't know if it's necessary. Bennet has the tools and the smarts, though, to be a productive top-six winger.
