Hello everyone: Some of us may get our wish about Jeff Fisher being replaced sooner rather than later. The yardbarker is reporting that Jack Del Rio and Jeff Fisher are two of the odds-on favorites to replace the recently fired Lane Kiffin at USC.

I am not sure if this report listed on FoxSports carries any weight but Fisher has many ties to USC. I am not sure if has any opt-out clauses in his contract either but I would not be surprised if he bolts for USC at the end of this season. That would be interesting on a number of levels.

Word is in the article that Fisher is mum and Del Rio would jump at the chance if offered the job. If Fisher goes than this train wreck called the Rams will continue to get worse as Kroneke prepares to move the team to LA at the end of 2014. We shall see.

This may be inappropriate to say but Jeff would have so many girlfriends in LA he'd forget about football.

Eh, if Andy Reid can still think about football in KC without weighing 500lbs, anything is possible

What a nightmare. If this is true, we should immediately fire Walton and hire someone like Lovie Smith as insurance in case Fisher does decide to go.

Lovie Smith still deserves to be a head coach, imo. Just don't put him in charge of an offensive line

I'll take Lovie.

At least we will have a good D and get some RB's. Pound the rock like a team should when rebuilding.

LA wouldn't take the Rams in there current situation. Where ever the Rams end up, Kroenke has work to do. I think we all need to STFU about this whole move to LA gig and get this football back to respectability.

Came out wrong. Meant to say Rams management needs to worry about getting this team back to respectability before worrying about a dome/stadium.

Some of you people are being ridiculous I'm sorry. Last year everyone was so excited to get Fisher as a coach and everyone was amazed with the progress made in his first year as Rams HC. Then this season the Rams came into the season with glaring holes and went 1-3 because of those glaring holes. and lost to 2 playoff teams and one borderline playoff team from last year because of those holes and our shitty coordinators. Its really amazing how after a few bad games someone's opinion on a person can do a complete 180. Look fellow Rams fans I realize that no other fanbase has had to put up with as bad as a product as we have had to in the last 7-8 years but its not going to be fixed overnight. especially with a corner that can't cover anymore for some reason, two rookie safeties, no running game whatsoever, and lastly a below average offensive line.

Things change pretty quick CC and we all know in the world of sports, sentiments change indeed. Now there are articles afloat suggesting the Rams need to part ways with Sammie and look to secure one of the new QBs in this upcoming draft. You have identified our major holes and it will take the length of Fisher's contract to get a handle on fixing things (5 years). But there are also articles afloat suggesting that Fisher may be overpaid for his mediocre results. One thing for sure. Today's hero can be tomorrow's goat. We shall see how it all plays out.

You do realise that if Fisher left today the team would likely replace him in-house for the rest of the season?

I don't think USC is looking for an immediate replacement; they named an interim coach.

There are better college candidates than Fisher out there anyway.

Don't see Fisher moving to USC, but like Retro said, anything can happen in the world of sports. After the last two weeks he may start giving it some thought, though. Lol.
