Greatest QB or Greatest QB of all time?

Discuss, or argue, I'm really bored.

Cutler is a tough mother fucker. He's also a huge pussy. He's a QB with a high iq that makes stupid throws every game.

Other than Luckman, who essentially played a different game. Who?

Exactly the point, put him in San francisco and ask if he was better than montana and young and it means something. We can agree on Bears GOAT, we just have different definitions.

Don Shy, greatest Bears QB ever. Every pass he threw resulted in a TD.

Of course, he only threw one pass...

Those are the only 4 worth their weight in shit, in my lifetime. Out of those, Jay is the best and it's really not that close.

It really is just a testament to the laundry list of shitty QB's we've had.

It is why so many are reluctant to cast Jay aside. Is he great? Nope. Is he the best we've ever had? Unfortunately.

there are obviously issues with using QB Rating, and especially in doing so for QBs of today versus QBs of yesteryear, so this just falls under the "For What It's Worth" category...but here are all; Bear QBs with at least 250 passes ranked:

Jimmy Mac...... Loved his style..... Loved his leadership.........And I still think had he played during the 86 playoffs when we went 14-2 instead of Flutie, wed won back to back SBs.

So it was more than just defense back in the day.

I absolutely agree with you 100%. Healthy McMahon, second Super Bowl. Period. The Bears would definitely have won a 2nd Super Bowl if it wasn't for the fucking Packers. I was actually at the game where Jimmy got slammed, I can tell you without a doubt that practically very Bears fan in old Soldier wanted to kill the Packers for doing that. The single biggest strike against Green Bay in that entire franchise's history.

I don't understand what you're saying. I think we have the same definition.

Is being the Bears GOAT QB a phenomenal achievement? No.

Is Cutler the Bears GOAT QB? Yes. Which was the only question at hand here.

I'm not under any delusions that obtaining the title is some grand achievement.

Lol. Give me a break.

He had a worse TD-INT ratio than Cutler. Who you constantly rip on about turnovers. Not to mention, did so with an all-pro line, HOF RB and GOAT defense of all-time on the other side of him. After leaving Chicago, he threw more INT's than he did TD's. You're really being blinded by your anti-Cutler bias here man. It's not even close.

"I still think had he played during the 86 playoffs instead of Flutie, we would have won back to back SB's". Unfortunately, apart of McMahon being your QB. Is that he was on the sidelines more than he played.

And guess what? Odds are if Cutler plays in 2006, the Bears have a damn good shot at beating the Colts for the SB.

Feel free to like him more, but saying he was better is just silly.
