I used to buy 2 bottles of Island Soyaki per trip... Used 1 entire bottle in a large ziplock with all the Kabob fixins to marinate in... Then used 1 to baste with while bbq-ing (whatever was left of the 2nd bottle you just left on the table for anyone wanting to add more).

Have you guys tried Soy Vay Teriyaki? If so, how does it compare to the TJ's brand? They seem very similar and I love me some SV!

I've used the regular one for a long time, but I bet that "island" one tastes more like the TJ's stuff you use. So good and simple to use!

I'm going to have to track down that Hoisun Garlic! Never seen this brand before.

Good stuff. It's been around here forever. So easy to dump a bunch over some chicken and toss it in the oven. I've only tried to regular flavor so I don't know about the others.

We use quite a bit of Hoisun and make our own mixes. Never even crossed my mind to add garlic. That almost seems too obvious. .. and delicious!

I finally got myself over to TJ's and got some Island Soyaki. I've got some cubed chicken marinating in the fridge for tomorrow's dinner. Yum. I want to try it with pork next time since we didn't have any on hand.

I was curious and looked online. Found this (scroll a little bit, 4th comparison down):
Where Does Trader Joes Food Come From? - Food News -
They claim it's the same thing. If someone has access to both brands (don't know if Soy Vay is around here), y'all should do a side by side comparison.
