he fucked himself up.Celtics fucked him up.
Low class organization
he fucked himself up.
for the team.
and gave everything he had here. he honestly thought this was home. danny told him it was.
Liar! Danny knew he wasn't paying IT.
Seriously though, the latest surgery might actually make him affordable enough for the Lakers to get. IT should probably be looking at 1 year deals now. Awful news for him.
To bad to see this. He's a good player but injuries seem to be derailing him. Let's see what happens.
I really think that IT is a good fit for the Lakers coming off the bench. Normally the team likes to go small at times and push the pace which Isaiah Thomas is a good fit. Getting the surgery now is a good thing as it gives him a better chance of healing. It also means that other teams won't be giving him priority and the Lakers have a good chance to re-sign him - In my opinion - with the injury - Somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 to 12 million is the most he is worst without risking a huge amount of money on a player that could be diminished with injuries next season.
It depends - He isn't going to be signed quickly with that injury - so if the Lakers could get him around the 8 million per year on a two year contract - Coming off the bench - he has played well if he recovers from his injury - Really big if though - The Lakers need to focus on healthy players and put signing IT as a low priority as in after the good players are all signed and its the leftovers that are available. He really has fit in good with the Lakersyeah, i'm not down with re-signing ITty bitty at all...
let him be a defensive liability to another team...

I feel bad for this dude. He lost out on a big pay day because he got bad medical advice from Boston (or they straight up lied to him so he'd keep playing), played through the pain and it messed him up. Now with him having to get another procedure, I doubt he's ever the player he was before. He can still be effective, but he won't ever be that "King In the Fourth" All Star guard guy again. Damn shame.
played through the pain
Apparently, that's just him. Luke said that he had no idea how much pain he was playing through. He said that every time he asked him how he's feeling he'd say "I feel great."
Luke also said that he told him "any time you need to skip practice, it's okay, just let me know." He said IT was "out there everyday doing his thing."
Say what you want about IT as a player but he has a lot of heart.
Yeah he does.
From what I've read, the players all love him too. They were talking all about what a good leader he's been, the advice he gives them and how he was helping them to be ready to play every single day, every game.
After reading all of that, plus what Luke said, I hope the surgery goes well and that the Lakers find a way to keep him.
