Michigan's not too far off where we originally started. In fact, the big ten is pretty similar to where it was projected pre-season.

meh, it wasn't that bad. i see 6 ranked sec teams in the preseason and now 6 in the week 8 poll. of course the unbiased computers have more, but it's a difficult concept for some humans to see that when 2 good teams play one another, someone has to lose and it doesn't necessarily mean the team should drop.

The SEC East teams were WAY overrated going in to the year. So were UT and ND.

It's funny how we are 6-0-1 against the spread and are ranked in the exact same place. That would never happen to a media darling.

I actually had a most overrated/most underrated thread from pre-season. I'll be revisiting it at the end.

ohio state started #2 and hasn't beaten a top 20 team in how many years?

how overrated was missouri?

and not that it's an excuse, but georgia's injuries... and both carolina and florida are without their starting QB's. if these teams hadnt had these players entering the season, they wouldn't have been ranked nearly as high.

Since when did the polls only go to 20?

Everyone gets injuries. Ohio State's defensive captain got injured. It happens, part of the game.

I was looking at the SEC east teams ranked preseason, namely UGA, UF, and USCe. All top 10 pre-season and only 1 is even ranked top 25 at this point in the season, and they are ranked 20.

Ohio St was and remains the most over-rated team in the top 10.

It's akin to ranking Northern Illinois in the Top 5.

Haters gonna hate. It's part of the human psych. We'll see how this all comes out on the field. In any case, tB1G just beats each other up. Lol.

Our defense remains an obvious weak link. Our offense will score 30-40 every game tho. Hard to say how Ohio State would do vs any of the others in the top 5.

why? because ohio state has been so many more top flight teams than northern illinois?

they are actually fairly comparable... skate through seasons undefeated or with 1 loss without anyone really knowing how good they are and then get pimpslapped in a BCS game. see: ohio state in 2006 and 2007, northern illinois in 2012.

i think ohio state is better than northern illinois, but that is based on their wins being slightly better and their recruiting. if they are leaps and bounds better, they certainly haven't proved it on the field.
