The Spurs are playing lights out basketball, and I'll bet the farm Miami wins the rest of the games in that series because George isn't going to be the "same".

5 titles for Duncan! Hooray!

Now fuck off!

Eh, I could see Miami maybe losing (doubtful, but possible). But if the Spurs blow this series, Pop and the gang should just retire from embarrassment.

Maybe regardless Pop and the machine should retire. But I am really hoping SA wins it all so its almost a for certain thing they can finally put the beast to sleep.

I don't think anyone can beat the Spurs right now. But one thing I have learned is NEVER count out Wade and Lebron. If they have a lights out series anything can happen, just need other slapdicks to step up.

No way is it already over, this series isn't even over. Although I fully expect them to win this series, all they have done so far is hold home court.

Spurs are playing great and they look great because the teams they are playing are sub par.

OKC with out Ibaka is a bigger deal than MIA without Bosh or Wade.

POR was just happy to be there and IMO is a 6 out of 10.

DAL as the 8 seed took SA to 7 games and might be worse than POR they just had experience.

Is SA good? Yes, every one going crazy because they had 6 dominating games of the last 7? YES.

Dallas has a veteran coach, an arch rivalry with SA, and a ton of depth (albeit old guys).
They were the perfect foil for San Antonio.

They tried a completely new system in the playoffs. It was a radical departure from everything they were doing in the last couple seasons and it befuddled SA a bit.

An 8 seed (who lost 10 straight to the Spur) can do something like that.....there is no downside. They are expected to lose, so they gambled with a crazy defensive scheme.

HEAT fans should understand fully how dangerous the Mavericks can be in the playoffs.

This. San Antonio's playing great ball, but we've seen this in the past with the Spurs. Taking out the Trail Blazers who are still wet behind the ears is one thing. But as Bot mentioned, the Mavs did take the Spurs 7 games. If the Heat meet the Spurs, it'll be another long fought series. As a Heat fan, they're the only team that truly makes me worried given that anyone on that team can have a big game and they have the greatest PF of all-time in Tim Duncan.....even at age 38.

Everybody making a big deal about Dallas being an 8-seed.

These same people conveniently leave out the fact that the Mavs had more wins than the East's 3-seed.

One more win, and how tough an out were they?

The Spurs do have a recent history of looking like world beaters and then collapsing.

2013: Blew through LA, GS, MEM only losing 2 games total, up on Miami 3-2.... lose out
2012: Swept 1st 2 rounds, got up 2-0 on Thunder..... then lost 4 straight
2011: Blew through reg season, won 61 gms and #1 seed.... then lost to 8 seed Mavs in 6 games
2010: Earned #2 seed, took care of Dallas in 6 games.... then swept by the Suns
2009: Won division... lost first round in 5
2008: Cruised to WCF... lost to Lakers in 5

Of course, they also have a championship history (7+ years ago) and appear to be on a mission. And there's no Ibaka.

Still, I don't think any team has ever had such a run of starting out dominating followed by swift playoff exits.

I spoke to soon. Didn't think Ibaka would make that much of a difference. Scotty Brooks deserves credit as well for the Jackson move.

It was a combination of Ibaka and coming home. I think OKC gave up a bit with out Ibaka.

I stand by my prediction OKC in 6...it was 5 before Ibaka was out and spotted SA 2 games and when Ibaka was out for the season I chose SA in 6.
