Solid, the farm is stacked with arms. I like that we've gone back to back years with the big bats.

Also, any idea when we find out who the other player in the Ike trade is? I suppose it'll be in a week or so once the dust settles from the draft?

After last night's loss and sweep by the friggin cubs, there were people already calling on Sandy to put him right into the Mets lineup immediately.

Yes.. on the DL for a tweaked hamstring...he's about a week away, hopefully.
Our regular CF (Juan Lagares) is also on the DL.

And....our manager is a complete nincompoop.

I wouldn't lose sleep if we keep him because he's been solid but we should really move Colon at the deadline. Somebody will get desperate and could overpay for him. With the return of Harvey combined with Wheeler, Gee, Niese, Montero, Syndergard, Degrom, Mejia all in the mix for starting spots we can afford to move him.

“We’re always willing to listen. We may be thinking in terms of the second half of this season. We may be thinking more in terms of next season.” Alderson continued to note that, even if the team sells, it may not be willing to settle for lower-level talent: “We’ve made a lot of deals in recent years where we’ve gotten prospects who are a good ways away. I don’t think we’re thinking that way these days, although sometimes that’s the value in a return.”

I like this statement because it means the moves going forward will be for immediate assistance, whether it be this season or in the offseason. It's nice to hear him more or less say the rebuild is over now it's time to win.

The kid is a stud. Sadly I think he will eventually be one of the guys we move for a bat.

They do that, and there will massive mutiny and serious hell to pay.
There are a few other pitchers we can move if/when push comes to shove......ie: Montero, German.
