Interesting Read on VT's Transition from Beamer to Fuente

Some of the things I knew and some I had no idea about (i.e. Foster's low profile trip to see Fuente). Anyways, figured I would share with the board.

The Transition at Tech

Good read. I had previously heard of Foster's trip and if I recall, the news leaked prior to Memphis' last game. Our AD assured Fuente that it didn't come from him and someone may have actually seen Foster at the airport and put the destination together.

As discussed on SportsHoopla after Fuente's first year at VT, his name came up for other positions available, but he seems like VT is really where he wants to be to continue and build success. Hell, the previous coach was here for 25+ years. Tough act to follow, but also a place that will stick with you if you're doing the right things.

While I could see us struggle a little this year with essentially a new defense and loss of upperclassmen playmakers on offense, the team can be competitive against every team in the schedule.
