True. We are 6-1 but feels like 3-4.

I just don't know about this team.

#5 would be way over ranked. Tech might come in this weekend and clown stomp us if we play like we have the last 2 weeks. Last week at KU was freaking embarrassing. Maybe they should let Bester take some snaps, at least he can hit a receiver in stride.

Bester didn't have anybody in his face either. Is it just me or has the pass protection gone to hell the last two weeks? Because Bell made some good throws in the Notre Dame game, now all of sudden he can't hit his receivers...because he's always going backwards from the pass rush.

well, he did make some good throws on that one drive in the 2nd half when OU had to make 3rd down plays to keep the ball, but then he throws up a rainbow, so I got nuttin...

there would certainly be nothing I've seen to deserve anywhere near that high of a ranking, even if OU had beaten UT.....

I was thinking the same thing. After watching the WVU game and even Notre Dame, there was nothing that was really convincing that showed OU deserved to be a top 10 team.

At #14(BCS), we may be too high. I'd say we're pretty close though, looking at those on top of us(LSU always gets a bump). Had we beat UT, we'd be top 10; maybe #6. I don't feel we're that good however. We're probably where we should be for now. Lets see how we do against OkSU, TT & BU. If we get 2/3 of those, will be thrilled. Have to take care of KSU and ISU too. I think we lose 2 of the 5 left, finishing 10-3 with a Bowl victory.

I'd say your right on the mark. This team is puzzling for sure.

If the offense ever gets on track we could beat everyone remaining on our schedule. That's a big IF though.

We were led to believe at the beginning of the season the offense would be really good because of the running backs. Right now it doesn't seem that way, regardless of who the QB is.

I don't think we're number 5 material either. FAR from it.

I will say that even with our defensive injury woes, we are startlingly ahead of schedule to this point. Given, we have some daunting tasks ahead.

We lead the nation in Passing Yards allowed up til now, and are 4th in Defensive Passing Efficiency. I would hope that these facts would make Mike realize that these DB's are good enough that we can "release the hounds" a little more often.

Effective, frequent QB pressure coupled with the talent we have in the DB could keep us in these games against TTU and Baylor. A couple of lucky bounces and voila.

I don't want to go face Fresno St or Louisville or UCF in a bowl game...there is no payoff there. We gotta find a way to win the rest.

No doubt the defense carrying this team, just the opposite of what we were led to expect.

I think the backs are there, but you have to let them tote da rock in order to have a run game, doncha?

This team has no identity on offense. Zip-zilch-nada....

I just don't understand the not using the weapons available in the backfield. Are Stoops and Heupel that intent on throwing the ball even though they could just pound it down the field? Makes no sense, you know Barry would be running every down with backs like OU has.

We ran the pitch-option twice in the Kansas game. I even saw a couple of double tight end sets.
There was actually a snap with the QB under center.

None of that added up to having a Running Game or Running Philosophy.
Just a bunch of plays, called randomly, for no other reason that to get them in.

That reverse pass play for a TD was a thing of beauty though but wasn't set up at all with the plays I mentioned above, so WTF.
