no news on the others

Could be appealing. They have up to 7 days to appeal to dean. Then they get a second shot at the office of the President. Since only real source can be the players themselves because school won't comment, they may not be saying anything until they exhaust. Although someone else said WNDU reported Kendall Moore already left campus.

Well, we can close the book on this one. The only one we haven't officially heard from yet is Eilar Hardy, and I don't think there's any reason to assume his fate will be any different. Ishaq Williams states he is done for the year but wants to return for 2015.

The Daniels family also reported that Davaris is done. Of course, between Davaris and his dad, their tweets are all over the map. Daviaris said "finally" just indicating he got an answer. His dad, who has also been his mouthpiece on a lot of this at first said Daviris is done with ND for good. Daviris followed up with another tweet saying he didn't want to transfer, his heart is always with ND, but he is moving on (I took to mean weighing his pro options). His father then followed up with another tweet saying that there is a possibility that Davaris can come back in 2015 and that they have to "see through the fog" and weigh their options. Like I said, all over the place. The only definitive thing we know is, Russell, Moore, Davaris and Ishaq are done for the year, as we have suspected for several days now.

The silver lining is that as of now, Russell and Ishaq want to return and see it through. Daniels, who I always had my doubts about returning if hit, has the option too. I suspect Daniels might try to take a shot at the NFL. As good an athelete as he is, I just don't see him getting drafted. He's shown flashes, but no consistency. He's a good, but not great WR talent. Even with a full year, he would probably at best been a 4th round pick, IMO. Even if he busts ass between now and May, he likely wouldn't get drafted, between the unrealized potential and the character questions surrounding his dismissal.

Hardy gives us Depth in the secondary. Damn I wish it was Russell.

Keivarae Russell posted on Instagram today that he expected Davaris Daniels to be back next year. Some positive news. Barring any other issues, attrition or injuries, this team will nd loaded.

Considering Daniels stated he wasn't coming back that would be news.

I can only surmise that they have been talking. Even Davaris's dad backed off of those statements though. A lot can happen between now and then.

I would give Daniels a lot of credit if he somehow graduated from Notre Dame with all his academic issues

I don't even want him back. I like the WRs we have.

I'll take him back, but can we drop his father.

How many chances are we going to give this kid. Its not like he is a super star. Move on from him. We have talented WRs. We don't need him.

He's pretty damn good. He was about the only one to show up in the NC game along with Golson. Yes, he's been inconsistent, and yes, we have tons of talent at WR, but its not a question of needing him, I sure do want him to play. As far as chances, well, he should get as many as the school in good conscience will allow. He should have his degree, even if he doesn't make it to the next level.

I see your point but i rather have an extra spot for a recruit we are trying to land.
