Every year they are preseason champs but every year they either miss the playoffs or are out in the First round. They have become the Notre Dame of Major League Baseball.

Maybe Im biased but It never got as bad as the Nats are now. On opening day when they LOST all they showed was Scherzer pitching Highlights and didnt show the Mets once.

All they have done is picked 2 of the most overrated Players with the #1 pick(which the gNats earned) in back to back years.

Since 2012 when Harper and Strasburg got to MLB together and all this hype started they have:

2012- Eliminated in NLDS
2013- Missed Playoffs
2014- Eliminated in NLDS

All this hype and they havent even won a playoff series. When they do that then some will be warranted.

Oh and the Braves have owned them the last 2 years in Head to Head meetings.

Baseball playoffs just like hockey is a crapshoot and its not like they played shitty teams.

In 2012 they played the Cardinals who are as good as they come when it comes to October baseball and last year it was the Giants who eliminated them who basically are just like the Cardinals. No crime in losing to those 2 teams.....not like they got swept or anything

Also since 2012 they won 96+ games in 2 of the 3 years....and I expect them to be around 95 or so this year as well

Summed it up nicely. On paper, the Nats are the best team in baseball, and it isn't terribly close, imo.
