It might be over...if they stop going to Super Bowls. But we won't know until we see that. They aren't going this year, obviously. I do think Brady is toast. Can Hoodie Jesus get them to another with a different QB? We'll see.

If so, that would cement him in the minds of many as the undisputed GOAT.

I don't think it will happen...I think this might be the year that McDaniels leaves the nest again.

I would never count the Patriots out. They haven't looked exactly great since week 11. Brady has been dealing with an elbow and Edelman has shoulder, hip and knee issues. They finished 12-4 and didn't look very good against the Dolphins. Then again. how many people expected them to be in the Super Bowl in 2001? 2014?

The Patriots' defense is better than good and they had their worst game of the year last week. I don't think that they have the offensive horses to be in the Super Bowl but the defense just might pull off enough to get them to play a repeat against the Ravens in Baltimore in the AFCCG. I wonder if the Ravens might not get upset by the Bills or Texans next week after having their starters off for three weeks.
As I said above, anything is possible but some things are very improbable.

You're a fan so I got no problem with you having the optimistic take, but it ain't happening

Dude he's already the undisputed GOAT. Who is if not BB?

Josh moves on, Dante retires.

Flores raids the defence with cash money.

Brady packs it in.

Doldrums upcoming.

Can never count them out, but Brady is at the age where his physical skills might start drop considerably. I think as long as BB is there they will be competitive. At some point, every dynasty comes to end. That will probably happen whenever BB walks away. The Patriots have had an amazing run. Not sure we will see a run like that in the NFL in our lifetimes. Back the 1980s I never thought the Lakers dynasty would ever end but it did.

You have some out there that feel Brady is the real source behind the rings.
First, that's stupid. BB obviously is a big part of it too. You have just as many who say Brady is just a system QB.

Second, who's GOAT if not BB? I guess Bill Walsh is the only other contender.

Yeah stating that Brady is a system QB is about as stupid.

IMO some people just don't like BB because of the cheating scandals. I think Walsh may have been the game's great innovator, won it with 2 different QBs, but 6 titles in the FA era is incredible.

thats not true.
Any great dynasty has a good system in place.
You can be a system QB & still be the GOAT.
If you are not a system QB it is because you are a gunslinger. the use of "System QB" is just used improperly. most good to great QBs are system QBs!

The era of the Patriot's mystique and putting fear into the rest of the league is on it's death throes but I still see them being a competitive team as long as Belichick is at the helm.

They're starting to look like the late 90's 9ers in that they were a competitive team and made the playoffs but they were never that juggernaunt like they were in the 80s and to a lesser extent the early 90s.

Yeah, but "system" QB is really meant as a slight. Same as game manager. It goes w/o saying that every good franchise has good OFC and DEF systems. That suggests the player can only be effective in said system.

It has always been about the team effort, always someone making a big play or two. Brady has been along for the ride. He helped, of course.

edit: the ship was rightened since Parcells was HC and then BB ran with it.

I would say more than just along for the ride...considerably more, but football is the ultimate team sport as they say.

Same thing. Game manager is literally what any good QB is.
So my favorite slight is Bus driver.
No one wants to be a bus driver
