That's why I would keep an eye on him. Jordy Mercer is probably ahead of him right now, but Mercer is a very average short stop. If Kang can get an opportunity, it wouldn't be too far fetched that he runs away with the job.

I think there's a good chance he is, and you could stick him on your bench. Parnell is probably worth dropping for him. That's a pretty nice Pirates lineup Kang would be in.

That's a huge advantage. If I'm that high on the waiver wire, I do what I can to hang onto it. If you're the top waiver wire position at the end of the year, that's when people start making desperate moves and you can add some high quality players.

Make sure of the waiver rules. Some leagues have weekly reset waivers, while others have a continuing rolling list where you only go to the back when you use it.

It means you are last until someone ahead of you claims someone. Then you move up one spot.

Not a disaster this early. People will make moves.

I'm of the school of thought that thinks hanging onto your waiver priority in a redraft league is overrated. Not reccomending it to anyone, just my opinion.
