Because Foles is the reigning SB MVP and he's 29. He brings experienced leadership. If that's not of value then by all means, the Bills should stick with the draft.

He has only succeeded in a very specific offense. If a team doesn't want to build their offense around him, why bring him in, especially at that cost? He has failed in other systems.

He's under contract this year, has proven he can lead this team to the bowl and who knows when Wentz will be 100% healthy. They have no incentive to get rid of him unless they know 100%+ that Wentz is good to go.

Foles had a good season in '13 (Pederson was OC or assistant OC in PHI), then was out in the wilderness for 4 years. '17 He was shaky in first few games, came on in the playoffs. He's shown competence in GP's system for short periods, there's no real indication he can carry a franchise over a period of years. No way on a 1st rounder. That's why he's still in Philly.
