That's the hate factor which Duke seems to get every year. Everybody but Duke wants Duke to lose. It's the way we Duke fans have come to expect the prognosticators to talk it up all year long. Hell Clark Kellogg had Duke losing to San Diego State. Vitale had them losing to Gonzaga. It comes with the territory.

Huh? I've said all year that they are the worst matchup in America for us, and called it a coin flip. Duke is really strong at exploiting our biggest weakness, which is our inability to defend attacking guards.

But again, we have 2 real losses against the #3 schedule. Duke has 4 against the #4 schedule. We have been better than them this year.* Does that assure victory? No. Again, because of matchups, they may well beat us. But that doesn't remotely change the fact that we have been better than them.

*And Kentucky was slightly better than us this year. So, again, the better team doesn't always win.

Tyus Jones is a really good College PG.. I really like him a lot and he gets how to put his team in a great position to win.. I really feel like he would be the Xfactor.. Winslow is great as well. I know people are going to talk about Okafor all day but, I feel like the former I mentioned, are who could win it for Duke...

I think you're reading too much into it. Smart is actually being very reserved compared to how he usually is. At least that's how I see it.

Yep, I bet Wisconsin breaks Duke's defense down like a 12-gauge shotgun. Duke has no chance since they play the team that beat UK. When you're watching the game on the couch Monday night will you have great snacks like Doritos or Cheetoh's?

We're better than Duke, but Duke matches up real well against us. As far as I am concerned, it's a coin flip. I'd like to hope the sports gods aren't cruel enough to let Duke win after we beat two teams better than them, but we'll find out on Monday.

That makes tons of sense. Both Duke and Wisconsin have had great seasons beating good teams and losing to semi bad teams (with Wisconsin having the worst loss). Oh and we beat Wisconsin in Madison so as far as I am concerned Duke is better.

You can't penalize Duke because Wisconsin beat Kentucky, Duke never got the chance so nobody knows if they would have won or not.

This is an interesting matchup. Duke has more talent and a higher ceiling IMO but in a one game setting the chemistry and talent of Wisconsin will be every bit as good. Duke has probably been the best team in the tournament, and their defense has improved a ton in the month of December. Winslow on Dekker should be fantastic. I'm not sure who guards Hayes, if Duke stays with the same starting line up. Jefferson is the obvious choice if/when he's in the game.

Also there has been a lot of celebration as if Wisconsin won the title last night. Will that play any part in Monday night? I think it could.

I picked Wisconsin to win it all before the tournament and I can't see any reason not to stick with them. Hopefully they didn't peak last night. I really hate Duke!

Looking forward to the game.

Duke beat Badgers in Madison earlier in the year and a MSU team handily in 2nd half that took the Badgers to OT in Big10 tourney. But Duke is not unbeatable with recent loss and some close calls prior to NCAA tourney.

I like how the Badgers are playing, playing with a lot of confidence even if they get down in 2nd half of games. I think Badgers can keep the game close and give themselves a chance to win at the end.

I hope Badgers can complete this amazing trip with a win on Monday.
