1996-97 rules. Physical but not crazy physical
Real bball
What a bummer. I was hoping for the old school rules of the late 80's. Physical & tough. The younger Dream Team would get smacked around like a pinball machine.

If LeBron doesn't hit Kyrie in the face w/ a no-look pass during the A.S. game I will be disappointed.
Wouldn't bother me but I know a lot of snowflakes in here think that was WWF shit. I'd be good with right the middle. Mid/late 90s is real men shit. Even the early 2000s with Shaq diesel was good
Little bit of hand checking is fine. Hard fouls = tech depending on punch or no punch.

I'm just saying w/ those rules the younger Dream Team's in trouble.
I don't blame Kyrie for leaving. Now Lebron actually has a Nucleaus where he can help create another great player on the Cavs
LeBron would be the baddest defender on the floor with those rules. You say he's a snowflake, doesn't use his physicality, well that's because of the rules. If that body could play defense like Barkley/Oakley, look out.

Yeah but that's not basketball, come on.
And so can you.
Remember, Bird and Magic were husks of old men, Bird never played again after. The only player on that team that's no doubt better than anyone today is of course MJ in his prime. After that today's are at least as good, and many better.
Now, in a way I'm cheating because I'm allowing non-Americans on my team like Giannis, but he's the only one. If that's a problem sub in Boogie or Draymond and those guys still win.
Here they are:
Jordan, Bird, Magic, Ewing, Robinson, Pippen, Barkley, Drexler, Malone, Stockton, Mullin, Laettner
Here's my team:
LeBron, Curry, Durant, Westbrook, Davis, Giannis, Harden, Irving, Thompson, Paul, Kawhi, Ayton for my college guy because we need more size.
Just missed, but easily could sub in: Boogie, George, Draymond, Lillard, Wall, Jokic, Griffin, and about 5 more college guys, etc.
My team beats the Dream Team 65% of the time. Which guys would you pick?
Yeah, the MENTAL toughness is a lot of where the oldsters would have an edge...

Yeah it's because of the rules.
That's a pretty good supporting cast.
If that style was good enough for MJ it should be good enough for the junior Dream Team. And I really didn't mean that physical as that play but today's NBAers have never know that style of basketball.
That was a sick clothesline...
you rotten sunuvabitch...

Hence what people have been repeating over and over in this thread: allow very physical D, hand checking, no zone, DT wins easy. Play by current standards, no.
