I gotta go to sleep.........but honestly speaking, with absolutely no trolling, based on the way people describe spread offenses nowdays...........pretty much 95% of offenses must be spread offenses......

What team is really going to want to install an offense where the defense isn't going to be concerned about defending the entire field? Defending the entire field has been an issue in football for years........cuz no OC is going to allow a Defense to have an idea of where you're going with the football every single play...........unless he knows he can get yards regardless.....

So if worrying about defending the entire field = spread offense...........then damn, the spread offense has been around since the game started

I said that Missouri ran a true spread offense. Go back and watch them.......you wanna talk about spreading out the entire field? They did that 10 fold compared to any offense that currently exists in college football.

You can't even come close to comparing Oregon to the Missouri of 2007-08...........

Yea, Oregon does spread out the field big time.............the reason their offense still works though is because it's a spread option..............aka it's multiple.

The reason Missouri's offense doesn't work anymore is because all they ever had was a spread offense............they relied on the quick strikes and yards after catch..........they have no other options........and the defensive gurus have shut it down.

The problem is the "analysts" go and name all these offenses and then every one simply blindly follows it........

I like to look at different offenses and see how I see things differently personally.......and if 2 offenses don't look exactly alike, then they can't be called the same thing.
