About 3 years or so ago — a little boy I know woke up with pain in his joints and complained to his parents. At the time he played football, basketball, baseball at his school.
After about a week his parents took him to the doctor and they couldn’t find anything wrong with him. Over the next few weeks, the normally active kid had trouble just getting out of bed. They took him to the hospital for testing and they still couldn’t figure out exactly what was wrong.
Within 6 months — something has attacked his nervous system and he went from a sports loving active kid, to wheel chair bound and doctors appts trying to figure out what is causing this and if they can stop it.
He is now 14 and Make-A-Wish granted him his wish to go to the Super Bowl. He sat at the 50 yard line, Row 1. Got pics with Aaron Jones, Eli Manning, Russell Wilson, etc. But his biggest moment was Jerry Rice coming over and handing him his SB ring and letting him try it on.
Absolute class act Jerry Rice. Class act organization at Make A Wish and this is something this boy will never forget!!!
