How is the hype/love for USA soccer where you live?

Went to a music festival over the weekend (about 25,000 + in attendance) and it was really cool to see all the love for USA soccer

People camped out had USA banners, wore Dempsey jerseys, had red white and blue face paint. On the main stage there were multiple occasions where the crowd started chanting "I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN"

Seattle has been a city that has embraced soccer for years now (Sounders avg attendance = 44,038, MLS avg = 18,608, English Premier League avg = 36,631) so it's not that surprising to see all the love (though it was really cool to experience)

How is the hype/love for USA soccer and World Cup soccer in general where you guys live?

Seeing more support than in past years. Bars are packed during the US games with many of them advertising to come watch the games there. Haven't had a chance to immerse myself in that yet, but I will on Tuesday.

I will say my work had the game on Thursday, which I went to great lengths to avoid.

I live in Washington state and there is a lot of excitement for USA soccer.

It's grown so much more now then before here in florida. I actually them mentioning on the radio to come down to bars and watch the game, something they would never do cause they usually promote clubs. I'm a colombia fan since that's where my dad is from and I've spend years watching them with him... But team usa will always be my 2nd team in soccer.. Don't think this is the year for them but they are improving on every world cup trip.

its huge here. Now that we have the Timbers, Portlanders believe this is a soccer city/state. Now Soccer is life to these people so they are really big on this USA losing a game, and tying a game yet still advancing. Its a craze.

Yes I would imagine. I do too but I work at night. I do have a few people going after all so it's all good.

no one that I know seems to care here in Chicago but grant park has been packed for the games. they are opening soldier field up tomorrow for a watch party

A lot bigger in GA than previous years. Getting a new team in 3 yrs and bars were packed with people in red white n blue and jerseys

It's too hot here to be running around chasing a ball for 45+ minutes straight at a time. But with legal & illegal immigrants from central/south america all around here, you can see the parks regularly filled with early morning games running between 7-11am.

I appreciate people loving soccer, you have to be in good shape to play, it requires skill but seriously I just don't for the life of me understand how people get excited about watching it on TV.
