Cal - 44%
Minnesota - 43%
Maryland - 42%
Wake Forest - 41%
Duke - 41%
Iowa State - 38%
Kentucky - 38%
Illinois - 37%
Purdue - 36%
Virginia - 35%
Indiana - 30%
Kansas - 30%

Ya. The home n homes are cool as far as I was concerned in meeting their fans. But the games were terrible.

Oregon gave Tennessee their worse home loss ever and their biggest defeat in the program's history last year in Eugene.

Since they got rid of Fat Phil they haven't had a head coach worth a shit. I think Butch has them going in the right direction now though.

Probably because this are some of the darkest days in the programs history. I think they are startign to right the ship. 30+ sized recruiting classes may speed it up, but I still think they are couple years away. Only 10 starters back. Going to be hard to make a lot of noise when half your starters dont even shave.

Basically what happened was Saban came to Alabama and the Tennessee AD went ape shit thinking they had to act fast and do something to counter.

So they did and they basically ran in the first door they seen which just so happened to be the shitter. They brought in Kiffin which gave them a decent season, but then he went to go fuck over USC and gave Tennessee one last dickin by taking the better recruits with him.

Then they said this sucks, so they went and hired the anti-Kiffin, because they figured a guy who would wear that ugly ass orange color for pants isn't going to be stolen by anyone, and so the great pumpkin era began with Dooley.

Unfortunately it was WAYYYYY to obvious in his last year that he was going to be shit canned. I think even his momma quit calling in to defend him on the radio by that point. But the staff basically quit before the year was over my source in the AD tells me. They did nothing to recruit, nothing for the future because they all knew they were going to be fired at the end of the year, so they didn't care what happened to Tennessee. And they got set back even further.

And also, someone told their QB - hey enter the draft, it'll be great. And he didn't get drafted and probably works at foot locker now.

And now they've moved on with Butch. That same source in the AD tells me everyone there is really happy with him so far and they are excited with what he has done and the direction they are heading. The fans seem excited as well, and they have the 2nd most people turn out for their spring game in the SEC this year.

So look on the bright side, they aren't going to be any worse and may just be a bit better the next 2 years. I think they will probably make a bowl game this year, and maybe even win 8 games.

They turned over the keys to a completely unproven college coach Lane Kiffin.
He stunk with the Raiders but he had a famous last name in football.

And when that failed...they went and did it again.
Derek Dooley was a loser at Louisiana Tech but he had a famous last name in football.

Sometimes you have to do something at least twice before you realize it is not working.
I think they finally figured out that NEPOTISM+LOSING RECORDS was the wrong coaching strategy.

Relative unknown, Butch Jones, looks like he will turn it around.

Because they play in a brutal conference and have cross division rivals with Alabama. They get no break.

There isn't HS football talent in state, and are one of the few traditional powers that require almost exclusively OOS recruits

Hired Lane Kiffin then Derek Dooley. Saban arrived at Bama in 07. Spurrier has it rolling at South Carolina along with Richt at UGA. LSU has now surpassed them as well.

Not sure Dooley was a terrible coach. He may not be great, but he walked into a hornet's nest. I do not think people understood what a complete disaster that job had become. Kiffin torched the place. There were still expectations for a quick turn around, which I only thought a big name could pull off. At the time Dooley took the job, I thought it might be the worst job in CFB. The best thing for Butch is expectations have come in amongst the fans and media. He will get a chance to run his program and see what happens.

No, their worst home loss ever would have been to Wyoming in 2008.
