Obviously, titles a fan has actually witnessed are going to matter more than ones they didn't.

Of the Lakers 16 titles, I have witnessed 11. The 5 from before I was born are nice and I count them. But they don't mean all that much because I didn't witness them.

You've never gotten to witness titles with the Browns and only 1 with the Cavs. So, of course past titles aren't going to mean much.

Something tells me though, that if any of your teams had a lot of past titles and you witnessed them, you'd have a different opinion.

So, in short, your post proved my point.

Don't blame ya. The previous regime knew the smart thing to do is lock guys up well before FA. They locked up Bitonio and Kirksey well before FA. Hopefully currecnt regime has the same approach.

They do matter. Only one I could mention that qualifies is the OSU title in 2002. Loved it. But I realize it means nothing in a discussion of The Now.
