Honestly....how close does this offense resemble one from the John Blake era?

As I sit and ponder about the offense and reflect on what I have seen, in addition to the Josh Huepel coming out with the statement of "still trying to figure things out" and we are past the halfway point of the season I couldn't help but think of the "trying to figure it out offenses" we saw during the Blake/Schnellenberger years.

kinda like when Blake said he was going to run the wishbone, and poof, never happened.
or like when he played 4 different QB's in one game thinking something different was going to happen.

yeah, I remember those teams........ every time we snap the ball this year.

If I were Bob, I would at least take Josh out of the Booth and put him on the sidelines. Stop making it like a video game and talk to the players on the field and get a better feel for whats going on. It couldn't be worse than whats been going on so far.

Well the fault must be the offensive line. They are not dominating. We have playmakers all over the field.

I don't know. I haven't seen the receivers getting any separation lately. Hard to throw the ball when nobody is open. But with the backs we have the ground game should be rolling by now.

I don't recall any Boo coached team winning anywhere near 6 games in any given season.......
