Wanted to see who here has had a hole in one. How many? How far out and what club did you use?

I have been close a few times, but have never been lucky enough. I have played with people who have and I watched Arnold Palmer ace a hole back in 1990 at the Paine Webber Invitational in NC. Of course I have had several chip-ins for birdies. My best was 110 yards out with a PW for eagle. Shot evan par.

2. 1 was at the Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter FL. 160 yards, 7 iron. Didn't see it go in bc the pin was tucked over a bunker behind a mound. The other was at a muni course in PA, just a 100 yard 54 degree wedge.

Never...close twice, ball touched the hole both times...I have been in the presence of a couple...one in FL...guy tried to act like he was a real player and was looking worse than me for about 6 holes then aces a par 3 about 135...generous bogey putts he gave himself, imo he barely broke 90 that day, bailed on our drinks, not a great guy.

The other was in a best ball tourney...he made out like a bandit since the drinks were on the house!

My best is holing a LW for eagle from 86 yds...didn't see it go in, but ran up there Sergio style and it wasn't to be found and I said we better check that cup...found the pitch mark and it was in the cup.

One...I was 14, No. 4 at Muirfield Village in the US Junior qualifier...it's pretty sad I only have one considering the amount of golf I've played

I've only had one, during high school golf team practice. 164 yards with a 3 iron. As my buddy and I approached the hole, I was looking around for my ball and he said it was in the cup. I was floored.

Come close countless times..... never in though

Bigger Question: How many people have driven a Par 4 only to 3 putt :bawling:

I've actually driven 2 par 4 holes and actually made eagle @ the TPC Craig Ranch, DAL and 2 putted for birdie @ Bear Dance, DEN.

Now on the flip side...I've also been on a 5 par in 2 and walked away with 6!

I've never driven a Par 4 but have three-putted many a Par 4. Does that count?

Out of all the golf I have played - I have had 1.

Tough hole, Pete Dye course, water all the way to a 1/2 island green.

Hit a 6 iron from 178. 2 bounces and barely trickled in.

Really wish I could say that I did the above. I have always missed my putts.. and I just want to crawl into a hole and die... It's so embarassing. I've been on a par 5 in 2 once and did the same thing! :L

Yea, The eagle was a nice putt, about 25' or so with some break...but the old 4 putt is pretty bad any time...mine made worse b/c we were in a skins game with about 3 rollovers to that point and eagle would've paid out like $50, and I gunned past about 15', birdie was still worth a nice sum, and I commenced to 3 jack from there. I felt about 3' tall.

I need Hooplas help on this: I made a hole in one today on a par three course with a 9 iron from 135. But...I was playing alone and nobody saw me :( Does that still count?

Also, I made one with a driver when I was 8 on a par 3 course from 128. I don't count that one though.

A couple weeks ago I played with a guy that made a 2 on a par 5!!

The ugliest hole in one ever.

Par 3, 160 yards 9 iron. Spring lake NJ. The purest bladed ball you will ever see. The ball is going like a rocket just 6 feet or so off the ground but going straight. The green is elevated and the ball hits the apron. The angle of it was perfect.

Ball hops onto the green but none of us saw it go in.

Oddly enough this course had some sort of promotion I think. I filed out this form and 2 weeks later I get a Seagrams Seven laminated hole in card and diploma type certificate.

Wacky stuff.

They both count in my book. 128 & 135 are legit par 3 length holes regardless of whether it was a par 3 course or not.

I lipped out once with a thinned 3 iron from 185. It was a lousy shot that never got more than 6-8 feet off the ground. I've come real close several times with good shots too, but never in.... yet.
