L.J. Hoes is being recalled from Triple-A Norfolk.

The move will either be made official on Saturday night or Sunday morning. Hoes, a third-round draft pick of the O's in 2008, has batted .304/.406/.403 with three homers, seven steals and 40 RBI in 99 games this season at the Triple-A level. The 23-year-old probably won't play enough this time around to take on significant fantasy value.


Any chance this is because teams want to see more of him?

Showcasing him as a trade bait is definitely possible... but who would he replace on the 25-man roster?

* Flaherty, since he's not getting playing time after Roberts got back?
* Or maybe Asencio, since there are currently 13 pitchers on the team?

I think this might be right, I've been saying they should use him as trade bait, he's a 4th OF which can be replaced down the line. Trade Hoes and a good low level prospect for Norris or other pitcher.

Yeah that is what i am hoping for we HAVE to get another quality starter Santana would be nice or even Peavy
