i tend to get the majority of it when i husk the corn. just grab that wad of silk right a the top and yank down when you are pulling off the husk. the little i don't get, i just pick/rub off.

my FIL has a brush for the purpose of silk removal, but it's been worn in over the years. my wife bought me one, but it has stiff bristles and just tore up the kernels as opposed to brushing off the silk.
