Wasn't the conviction vacated? Hernandez may have won his appeal, we'll never know.

No - you are rt. I am not suggesting that the Lloyd family will actual get any money - just that they should get something out of this if more NFL money goes to the Hernandez family. The real discussion should be how do we prevent head injuries, if at all?

The level of damage (equivalent to that of a senior citizen) would imply he had an early start to that damage. Likely football related, but not necessarily NFL related.
