fuck hernadez.....not buying this attempted money grab because of cte. guy was an asshole long before he went to jail and if i was a lawyer id be digging up every drug use and bad decision he ever made in life. guy knew that killing himself before appeal would secure his family with a non conviction.... thats it in a nutshell.

Wasn't the conviction vacated? Hernandez may have won his appeal, we'll never know.

No - you are rt. I am not suggesting that the Lloyd family will actual get any money - just that they should get something out of this if more NFL money goes to the Hernandez family. Oh well - life isn't always fair & lawyers basically only give a shit about making money & not doing the rt thing.

http://www.xxlmag.com/news/2017/04/hip-hop-reacts-aaron-hernandez-death/

Ran across this while searching for info on Hernandez. "Hip Hop" community reaction to Hernandez death in April. What a crock. Are these artists morons or - more likely - are they being phonies just to ensure that they appease some of their dumber fans & ensure continued $$ come their way. Most of the sentiments appear to lean towards Hernandez being a good guy & his suicide being part of some type of controversy (which you would believe would have come out if this were true being that almost 6 months have transpired since his death).

Love the continued sympathy for this POS - where are the tears for the guy he murdered?

AH was a gangbanger going back to his high school days. To blame his shitty behavior on brain damage is asinine.

The real discussion should be how do we prevent head injuries, if at all?

Not some guilt trip into getting his family a bunch of money.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't Hernandez Gang Banging in High School, long before he first signed a NFL contract?

The level of damage (equivalent to that of a senior citizen) would imply he had an early start to that damage. Likely football related, but not necessarily NFL related.

PCP use causes the same dark spots on the brain as CTE.

theres more to this than we are seeing.

he was a PCP addict. PCP and football are a bad mix for brain trauma.

Long Term PCP Effects on the Brain
Once an abuser stops using PCP, some problems may persist for up to a year or more. Long-term PCP abuse can cause memory loss, speech and cognitive difficulties, depression, weight loss and multiple personality disorders. According to the Scripps Research Institute, “Repeated challenges (e.g., excessive use of drugs of abuse) lead to attempts of the brain via molecular, cellular, and neurocircuitry changes to maintain stability but at a cost.”

The accumulated neuro-adaptations from PCP along with the variable and toxic substances abusers ingest over time can cause brain damages that may be permanent.

NIDA NOTES - Ketamine, PCP, and Alcohol Trigger Widespread Cell Death In the Brains of Developing Rats

NMDA-receptor blocking drugs, such as PCP, ethanol, and MK801, triggered extensive programmed cell death in the forebrains of 7-day-old rats. These brain images were obtained 24 hours after rats were treated with either MK801 or an inactive saline solution. The dark spots in the brain of the MK801-treated rat show millions of degenerating nerve cells in key brain areas compared to the insignificant amounts of degenerating nerve cells in the brain of the saline-treated rat. (Brain images at X9.8 magnification.)

He either knew what he was doing when he did this or e was instructed to by his lawyer...

But to actually try and sue the Patriots, that's insane.. I can see suing the League but not the Patriots. So why stop there, why not sue his pee wee coach, hs coach and Florida
Sue his Dad for dieing too soon and not being around leading to AH "needing" to find love from his gang. Then sue his mom for letting him play football. What was she thinking?
