N.Y. Post reporting that MLB will be announcing the suspensions this week, possibly by Tuesday.

Besides A-Idiot, the biggest names are Nelson Cruz, Everth Cabrera and Jhonny Peralta. Melky Cabrera and Bartolo Colon are also on the list, but it's not known whether or not they will be suspended. Gio Gonzalez is in the clear.

Supposedly there are a few names that are not publicly known, but they are said to be fringe players.

Who will appeal? Who will cut a deal?

I picked him up after you dropped him, but I didn't wanna take the chance of having two suspended shortstops on my team. Of course, he's tearing it up.

But now that MLB has made their point, I think we're gonna see appeals from everyone. Except for A-Jerkoff. He's done, IMO.

Interesting thought from someone today re Peralta/ Cruz impending free agency.
Maybe it hurts their stock more next year if they don't appeal and serve this year.
They'll get looked at as not caring about their teams, esp in playoff races.
It's a thought lol

Bartolo Colon, Yasmani Grandal and Melky Cabrera will likely avoiding suspension. They got their shit out of the way last year (and started this whole mess).

But of course. I always try to have a backup on roster for all of my spots, except catcher. As injuries just seem so prevelant, I have found it always a good way to go.

Well, now they are saying the announcements will come Thursday or Friday. I really wish they would get it over with, it's quite the inconvenience for those of us who have these guys on our teams.

Don't they know we have important fantasy business to take care of???

I just want to know because i am in a keeper league, and i have everth cabrera on my team... the trade deadline is this weekend, i want to know if his keeper value exists still or if i should keep him... If he is going to get a penalty and take it next season, then i will trade him, and since he is an elite SB guy i can get something good for him... I prefer him to take his penalty this season though so i can have him next season...

The only other person I've heard that might fight this besides A-Roid is Nelson Cruz. I think it safe to say he will accept a deal, be done for this season and be ready to go next year. I'd hold him unless you are going to get full value for him in your trade.

It is good advice. For those of us in non-keepers waiting to make a move, we can all thank A-Rod for the fact that it will now be announced on Monday. Supposedly.
