Helton new USC HC

I liked Clay Helton when he was an assistant coach at Duke under HC Fred Goldsmith (1995-Grad Assistant and 1996 RB Coach). Good guy.

He needs to dump the 3 - 4 and implement a 4 - 3 and play man to man. The talent level is to good to play a zone. I'm sure Helton told him to do so against FUCLA

I loved that man to man against UCLA. The problem with man coverage and young guys though, is they are on an island and if they make a mistake, they're fucked. Young guys are more prone to mistakes. I'd like to think/hope that he saw how well they took to it though and we will see more of that in the coming seasons. It completely turned the game around, imo.

What do you think the chances are that Cravens comes back for his senior year? People speculating that he's gone seems to be annoying him a bit. Last I heard, he said he hasn't even looked at what's being said re: where he'd be drafted. If he came back, it would be huge for the defense next year.

Hard to turn down that NFL paycheck though.
