Does this program even exist anymore? They moved to the SEC and haven't been seen since.

Texas AM arrived in the SEC and immediately started making noise, from their billboards in the state of Florida, to their upset over the conferences King, to their Heisman winner drinking his future away. The Aggies at least have done something and have used the move to the SEC to get out from under Texas' ball sack.

But Missouri...wtf? Nothing. Not even a little wake within conference play. The only thing we heard from Mizzou was the "old man football" comment to Georgia, since the Dawgs laid a beating on them, they've been silent.

Are they the SEC's version of the PAC-12 Colorado?

Pinkel teams are dependent on having a somewhat viable QB

Mizzou was very vocal in the Big12 and somewhat of a threat.

People are sleeping on them a bit this year but its hard seeing them make a dent anywhere near the top of the SEC

Missouri played the toughest schedule in all of college football last year. They played Georgia, Florida and South Carolina from the SEC. And then their 2 games from the SEC West were Alabama and Texas A&M.

That's 5 out of 12 teams being top10ish.

They don't have an easy schedule this coming year either.

We really should have beaten Florida, although we really should have lost to Tennessee.

I think they'll go 3-1 against Murray St, Toledo, @Indiana and Arkansas St. Then they get @Vandy, @Georgia, Florida, South Carolina. I think they'll go 1-3 there. Tennessee, @Kentucky, @Ole Miss, Texas A&M. 2-2?

Not sure if .500 would be seen as a good enough season to keep Pinkel

And they had several injuries. Kind of ironic that Mizzou was suppose to be more of a threat than A&M but they did have a tough schedule, injuries and who knew Johnny Football was going to be that dynamic? I had no clue! (no clueless comments here)! :noidea:

QBs are that important, especially when you are talking about 'Big 12' teams.

Franklin was a bust as a QB last year and..well...the story is that Mauk is going to come in and improve the team but thats just to 'sell newspapers' or whatever. The reality is that Franklin is the team captain and they'll have to stick with him the whole year and hope that his arm holds out.

Pretty sure Pinkel is gone.

Sorry, Mizzou, I guess I am so use to either new coaches within the SEC (fat ass Bielema, Lane Kiffin) or SEC programs in general making so many headlines for childish things, I was just surprised Missouri didn't take the route like TAMU when they entered, by causing a stir.

A shame a class act within the SEC is the one that goes un noticed.

Injuries are a big deal in football.

A lot of people thought West Virginia was going to take the Big 12 by storm, too. Its hard to trade up.

My only hope is that people still come to Columbia to see Mizzou regardless of how good their team is. There is construction and renovation everywhere based on the concept that this will generate growth.
