I don't of many drivers who like standing starts much less on re-starts. Just ask nearly three qaurters of IRL drivers on the first issue.

Any Bernie just will not go away. I think F-1 is just tired of the guy and they trying really hard to get rid of him but just can't seem to get over the hump.

It seems that the drivers are not in favor of the standing restarts idea:

Can't say that I blame them. Standing restarts on worn tires is bound to lead to blow-outs IMO.

As exciting as that would be, I don't think it's very fair to the lead car. A large lead is instantly gone with a safety car. At least with rolling restarts, positioning generally remains the same. A whole lot of things can happen with a standing restart.

Bleacher Report lists the five drivers who they feel are most likely to be bumped from their seats before season's end:

Not sure that I agree with Raikkonen: I think that his name recognition will be enough to see him through (at least) the end of the 2104 campaign.

I would feel worst for JEV: he always seems to do well WHEN his car doesn't let him down. :(

Kamui Kobayashi is dead ringer. I don't think he has done much of anything his entire F-1 career.

I read somewhere where they are going to try to insert some kind of chip (nanotechnology?) into Schumacher to possibly allow him to walk, etc. again?

Okay; now this is just a wee bit confusing...

Mexico back on F1 calendar for 2015 (?)

At one point, that article quotes Bernie; "I'm happy to announce we've concluded an agreement to have a race in 2015," said Ecclestone. "Don't miss this race!"

... but then the closing line of the article reads as follows; Mexico's return to the F1 calendar remains subject to final negotiations

So; which is it? :noidea:
