Honestly its a smart move. If you wanted to get some extra incentive to a recruit and his family this is a"legal" way.

Houston fired SB winner Jim Jeffcoat as DL coach when we were trying to recruit his son Jackson, who ended up playing for TX. Hoops team also fired Michael Young, who was arguably the greatest college player on our Phi Slama Jama teams, resulting in his son Joe transferring to Oregon.

UH has integrity. We all got a cookie. It was bitter, but still a cookie.
