Any Ideas? I have trained my 1 year old lab the best I can in the city and back home. Nut he needs some time in the field and I am having a hell of a time finding anyplace to let me hunt. Or even gun train.

Terp if you've got any local mom and pop sporting good store ask them if they know of anybody that trains dogs or allows people to train dogs on there land. You best bet maybe to send your dog to a trainer and get him/her on birds. Also check with Nebraska Game and Fish and see if you can train your dog walk in access ground? Here in SD they shut it down from April 15th to August 15th. I know you might not like it but paying a trainer may be your best bet. The more birds they are on only the better.

Use a .22 dummy launcher...Rubberband some pheasant feathers around it. You can teach them to retrieve, not to chew your bird, they'll get used to the gunshot..etc...

Like fox said though, you can't beat a good pro trainer.
