Hard to generate the revenue for a $70 million cap when you are selling $7 tickets to NHL games...

Hearing closer to a $68 million cap for next season - expanded video review, OT also being discussed.

Consensus is the 3 on 3 OT will get shutdown.

Good, that's barely hockey.

I saw a suggestion to go to long change for OT.

Long change, extend to 10minutes, keep it 4v4, and I think that is a much better idea.

Yeah, I agree with this, put another five minutes on the clock and I think we'll see a lot fewer shootouts deciding games.

Games should be worth 3 points. Regulation win gets you 3 points. Overtime/shootout goes 2 points for win, 1 point for OT loss.

Yes it should, but the league loves the built-in parity that the current points system provides.

Oh sure. It keeps more teams in the playoff hunt late into the season and I would guess keeps more revenue going to those teams that might otherwise be out already.

What's the word on what would be included in the expanded video review?

The one that I'd like to see most would be whether the puck deflected for the puck over the glass penalty (I'd rather see it gotten rid of entirely, but you take what you can get) and whether the puck hits the netting behind the glass.
