Other than KG and Kenyon Martin, I can't think of anyone I've disliked in basketball over the last 10 yrs. I hope he enjoys the money he's still stealing from the NBA and he can go to hell.
Wow, you really disliked him that much? It wasn't the 60 he dropped on the Lakers, was it?
I kinda miss the days when he was with the Wizards a little. He was so upbeat and fun. I think he was really good for Washington.. even if he decided to go there based on a coinflip (I recall the Clippers were the other choice). We'd had players that were there that really didn't seem to embrace the city, and he seemed like an antidote to that.
After the whole gun snafu, things really went south for him. Injuries could probably be credited for most of his downturn in the NBA, but I also think his heart just wasn't in it as much anymore. He seemed like a different person. It didn't seem like it was fun for him anymore. Yeah, you could argue that someone with that kind of contract should fight through that and be a professional, but I just suspect it was impossible for him. Those 'zero-to-hero' sneaker commercials he did just seem terribly overwrought now when you watch them. Did he "prove them wrong?"... or did he prove them "right"?. Really unfortunate.
