It's always tight, and SC has been badass at home for the past several years - excepting the freakin' A&M game. Georgia definitely has more talent, especially on offense with all those RB's, but as we've seen in this series, the most talented team does not always win.

One encouraging sign from the ECU game was how Carolina finished: it was a close game, the Cocks got the ball deep in their own territory with about 12 minutes left, and proceeded to drive the field using up over 10 of those minutes. The drive stalled in the RZ and ended with a FG, but that made it a 10-pt game and ECU did not answer before time expired - and probably would not have had time for a second score. The defense also tightened up as the game progressed, although the Pirates shot themselves in the foot quite a few times. Intercepted Carden a couple of times, who had been shredding the defense in the first half.

Would love to see Carolina employ this ball-control strategy earlier, keeping Gurley and Co off the field and shortening the game. We cannot expect to win a shootout with the Bulldogs. Best bet is to keep everybody under 20 pts and get a couple of turnovers. Plus, Thompson cannot start off flat or throw the ball away.

Georgia is overrated. They didn't even score a point last week! Their only win is over Clemson, which is nothing special at all. I mean, who the fuck has lost to Clemson in this decade?
When ECU beats VT (who just beat OhSUx) this week, it will be seen that USC's win over them was a good one.

Best part about this game is that there should be some Gurley on Gurley action as T.J. and Todd hook up in the backfield and go down.

Physical defenses spell bad news for Oregon. Not to mention, if Texas's shitty defense last year could hold the Ducks to 1 offensive TD, I think MSU's D will stomp a mudhole in Oregon the way physical defenses do all the time:
