Not that the pitches haven't been off target in this series, but the Giants have been BABIP'ed to death in this series. Seems like every ground ball has found a hole.

Zito has not come off very well in the franchise episodes I've seen. He seems like a guy who has no clue how he got to be a good pitcher, and so has no clue how to get back to it. Not too bright to begin with, and if I can extrapolate a bit from things I've heard, not coachable.

He said he wants to get back to the "things" that got him to the big leagues, so he decides it used to be fun, so he's going to go back to making things fun. At this point, I want to knock him around and say "correlation is not causation you idiot."

The Giants' hitting approach is all screwed up. The ever changing lineup is one thing. But the plate approach is pathetic. How many walks does the team have on this road trip? Any guesses?

7/27- 2 walks (won 2-1)
7/28- 2 walks (won 4-1)
7/29- 4 walks (lost 4-3 in 13 innings)
7/30- 1 walk (lost 7-2)
7/31 - 0 walks (losing 5-0)

10 walks in 54 innings. Awful.
