Wow. PANDA!

The secret is that pitchers have to throw the pitch way, WAY outta the zone, and he clobbers it.

He can hit EVERYTHING when he's right. When he wrong, he can't hit shit.

He's obviously right presently. God I hope it continues!

Giants 9-0 in Zito's last nine starts.
Awesome!
And with :panda: heating up, and Sanchez starting to stroke, and Huff on fire, all we need is RV to get hell out of his funk and we're good to go.

Reps are gone based on a pissing match on the Niner board.

Good riddance. I for one applaud GhostITM for getting rid of it (even though I'm sure he's taking a lot of heat for this). I think most posters can make the distinction between the good from the bad most of the time. I did like that you could let somebody know that you really liked their post, but I didn't like the accumulation/tallying of them.

Anyway, back on to more important things.....the magic number is down to 3. Oh to be a fly on the wall in that Doghair clubhouse after the losses keep piling up. :heh:

(EDIT: but thanks dre for the education on why reps may be gone :))

Agreed re rep tallies. Maybe they could replace with a 'like' button so a good post can get repped.

I'd favor a rep system where everyone starts with a fixed endowment of reps, and for every rep, whether negative or positive, your endowment is decremented. Anyone who has a rep above there endowment is then pretty clearly a tool who never gives out reps, or a really good poster.

The key to its success is its ambiguity. The only thing that is clear at first glance is that you will either respect or despise the poster... or both. ;)

Miserly hoarder of wealth, or exceptionally productive member of the community. How to decide?

It only becomes obvious if someone swims in their rep like Scrooge McDuck.

Some of the hockey fans from Philly used to come on the board, (no names, please), with 400 posts and rep of 350,000. Seems like all they did was rep one another.

It would be nice to have some system of liking exceptional posts. But maybe that gets too incestuous in a rather small community on this board.

Overall, as filo said, good riddance.
