We had that mini debate on this board about Melk. Many of us were pissed that the guy cheated; some of us couldn't understand why we anyone would be angry at a guy trying to get an edge.

It appears the Giants organization is pissed as well.

With science and technology rapidly advancing athletic performance, I don't mind one bit that people go to extreme measures to obtain/maintain a competitive advantage.
The list of illegal and unethical substances and procedures is an evolving list.

I'm just pissed that he was caught and his punishment also affected the entire team.

I have a feeling the Giants stance is mainly for PR purposes

IMHO opinion with the spectre of Bonds' forever hanging over this team I don't think they could even attempt to bring him back. The flash would be very tough to tolerate. Depending on our post season performance we all know we are going to hear .... "without that DROID user you guys wouldn't even make the playoffs ..... blah blah blah". Of course ... if he does hold on to the BA title ... that will make even more interesting! Have to give this team props ... they lost an MVP candidate and proceeded to pick up the slack ...
